Humans

Overpopulation, urban encroachment, pollution, exploitation of resources, anthropogenic changes in land and water use, and the introduction of invasive species (such as pets, insects, and plants) are all human-induced crises damaging our own health, as well as the health of wildlife, plants, and our shared environment. For a complex problem that encroaches on so many aspects of our shared environment, a One Health approach is the only effective option. Through educating communities and empowering people to take responsibility, we can improve outcomes in all three areas of the One Health triad.
